Why would you want a Garden Room?
Who We Are
A Garden Room can provide much-needed extra space for your home and in most cases, add value to your home. It’s a much cheaper alternative than building an extension, a loft conversion or adding a conservatory. Garden Rooms are often light and airy and can be used as an Office, Gym, Art or Music Studio, Playroom or just somewhere to store stuff.
Our Garden Rooms are individually built by us, from the foundations up and include insulation to make the room useable year-round, keeping out winter cold and summer heat. We can also install mains electricity, a water supply or built-in sound insulation if required.

How Much Is A Seasonal Garden Room?
A rough idea of costs
It’s very hard to give you an idea of costs, especially as all of our buildings are bespoke designs and can be built in any size (see local planning restrictions) to suit you and your needs. Being bespoke means we can offer different levels of finish, both internally and externally, so that your building suits the purpose you want to use it for. We can fully insulate, drywall, trim with skirting and architrave and decorate the inside of your Garden Room and also offer a wide range of external cladding in composites and timber, including cedar cladding.
But, we also appreciate that you probably have no idea of how much it’s likely to cost, even for a very basic garden room. So, to try and help, a 3 metre x 3 metre garden room shell would be approximately £14,495 +VAT.

GARDEN ROOM FAQ’S
More Information
Do I need planning permission?
Most garden rooms are classed as outbuildings and so don’t require planning permission. As long as you have permitted development rights at your home or the area you live in, you’re allowed to build one as long as you comply with certain rules.
- You can’t have your garden room in front of your home.
- The total area of all extensions, sheds and outbuildings – including your proposed garden room – must not cover more than 50% of the total area of land around your house.
- It is single-storey and less than 3 metres high (4 metres with a dual-pitched roof). If it’s within 2 metres of your boundary, the maximum height is 2.5 metres.
- The eaves are no more than 2.5 metres above ground level.
- It doesn’t have a balcony, veranda or raised platform.
- It isn’t self-contained living accommodation.
This is not legal guidance – Please check with your local planning authority to confirm if in any doubt.
Will it be cold in winter?
Talk to us about your intended use for the building and we can advise you on insulation and heating that can be installed to make your new Garden Room useable all year round.
Do I need a separate contractor to finish off?
No. One of the big differences between Seasonal Garden Rooms and the competition is that we are more than happy to carry out and oversee all of the work associated with your new Garden Room. We can clear site, install foundations, build the garden room itself, install all services such as electricity, ethernet and heating, fully decorate and even install decking, paving or grass (real or artificial) and landscaping.
What about ongoing maintenance?
We will talk you through all of the different options for your Garden Room, including which will require ongoing maintenance. We are more than happy to come back and carry out any necessary maintenance when and if required for an additional fee.
